Romanticizing the annoying parts of reality is something I try to pratice. Wake up late? Pretend I'm a fictional character in the opening scene of a movie. Spill hot tea on myself? Try to appreciate the warmth of it on my most likely cold skin. Stuck in traffic on the freeway? Think about how interesting it is that I'm, in a sense, united with the other hundreds of drivers on the road by the inconvenience. I'm definitely not always a positive Patty but the less time I waste peeved about something that ultimately doesn't matter, the better. What does this have to do with my outfit might you ask? I'm not really sure, it's just something that's been on my mind. And now moving onto things on my body; I've been really into spicing up casual outfits with elegant, vintage accessories. Nothing freshens up a t-shirt and boyfriend jeans like brooch and a string of pearls. It's the best of both worlds, like I can go out too a nice dinner wearing this and not look to dressy stopping by Target to pick up cat litter on the way home.
